The Nike Air Jordan II boasted the "Made In Italy" stamp and was the first to be offered in a low top version.

The Air Jordan IIs were released in 1986 and 1987. The Air Jordan II high tops and low tops were just as popular as the Air Jordan I because they were very stylish. All original Air Jordan IIs were made in Italy. Since the mold for the original Air Jordan 2 was destroyed, or possibly stolen, Nike had to examine the original AJ II when they re-released the shoe in 1994. In 2004, they had to examine the 1994 retros when they were re-releasing the shoe again. Even though sketches and prototypes were put together for the AJ II, no black colorways were produced. One of the most sought out pair of shoes is the Air Jordan II K.O. Very little are in existence, and also very few pictures are floating around. The Jordan II's were the last Air Jordan shoes to carry the Jordan Wings insignia.
